Our Story

I’m Leni, founder of Rocky River Ranch.

During the COVID years, my hubby Garth, our son Mitch, and I swapped city life for a cattle farm in Gloucester, looking for more space, fresh air, and a different way of life.

I’m a proud fourth-generation beekeeper, making Rocky River Ranch feel even more special and rewarding.

Our ranch is also home to a few unforgettable characters. There’s Bindi (short for Bindera), Rocky (named after Rocky River Ranch, of course), and Bear, who spends his days convinced he’s a highly trained security officer while openly obsessing over stalking Frank the cat.

Then there’s Frank, who moved from Sydney with us and has firmly decided he’s never going back. These days he’s a farm cat, chief rodent inspector, and living his very best country life — all while keeping Bear endlessly entertained.

The horses hold a special place at the ranch, offering healing, connection, and a gentle reminder to slow down and be present. Bismarck leads us on adventures, Johnny the Whaler teaches strength with softness and the importance of standing in our power, while Dream and Blu weave their own special magic as our tiny heart healers and dream makers.

What started as a tree change has become a life we love—filled with Angus cattle, bees, horses, honey, family, friendship, and plenty of country chaos.
